The website will be developed in such a way that you can indeed change certain areas of text using a secure administration page. We are of course happy to make the changes for you, but many clients enjoy the flexibility that the administration pages offer, enabling modification to be made any time, day or night.
I already have a website address!
That's fine. We can use an existing domain name, or help you to purchase new. Included in the domain setup will be email setup. We offer as part of this website deal any assistance required in setting up new email addresses.
What are the ongoing costs of the website?
The price quoted for the website includes all ongoing costs for the first 2 years!, including website hosting, email setup, regular reports on website visitors, minor modifications to text and photographs, and unlimited email technical support.
From the third year, an annual charge of £300 is made for all of the above items. There are guaranteed no extra costs.
What about promoting the website?
Search engine success is built in from day one. Additionally it is important to get links from other websites to your own, and to link from your website to others. We will help with this promotion and recommend good websites to share reciprocal links with.
You may also want to print leaflets, advertise in newspapers and journals, or sign-write your vehicles. All of these will require good quality artwork of logos. As part of this website development we will provide to you on a CD, all artwork of logos, including full colour version and black and white versions.
Am I locked in to you as our web developer?
You are in no way locked in. You can move to a new developer any time you like. Your domain name will be yours to do with as you wish. We will even go out of our way to make the transition as seamless as possible for you.
Will the website be a success?
At the consultation we will discuss how to define this success. Is it 2 extra enquiries per day that will make the website a success? Is it 1 extra booking per week? What ever the criteria, we will monitor and modify to the best of our ability to achieve these goals.
